Cosmetology includes classroom and practical experiences concerned with a variety of beauty treatments, including the beautification of hair and skin care. Instruction includes training in giving shampoos, rinses, and scalp treatments; hair styling, setting, cutting, dyeing, tinting, bleaching, and fitting wigs; permanent waving; facials; manicuring; and, hand and arm massaging. Scientific knowledge related to bacteriology, anatomy, hygiene, and sanitation will be emphasized. Additional instruction in the areas of small business (salon) management, record keeping, and customer relations should also be provided in this course. Instruction should be designed to qualify students for the licensing examination.

Program Information:

Cosmetology is a one year program for Seniors only
Students will study Cosmetology at Paul Mitchell the School Indianapolis
Students will learn the skills it takes to be a licensed cosmetologist.
The program starts the summer prior to entering the students senior year and completing the program the summer after their senior year.

Program Requirements:

Students must provide their own transportation
Must be able to start program in June

C9 Student Fee: $20.00
Tuition to Paul Mitchell $8,000
Deposit $250 (applied to Tuition)
Down Payment $1,500 (applied to Tuition)

Certification:

(Indiana State Beauty Board License) Students successfully completing the procedures and 1500 hours of required class time are eligible to take the Indiana State Beauty Board examination to become a licensed cosmetologist.
